Santa Claus Village, located about 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Rovaniemi in Finland, is one of the world’s top Christmas destinations. Thousands of people flock to this glittering, snow-covered site each year to cross the Arctic Circle, meet with Santa Claus at his actual “office” and experience the magic of Lapland.

In Santa Claus Village visitors can choose among a variety of recreational activities suitable for both children and adults. For example, in Arctic Circle Husky Park, a site hosting almost 100 Siberian Huskies, you can book husky sled rides and safaris. For a magnificent snowmobile tour through the snow-filled forests head to Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park. A reindeer sleigh ride starting from Christmas House Safaris and Reindeer Farm is also an absolute must while visiting Finnish Lapland.

Elf’S Farm Yard Petting Zoo is the ideal place to interact with domestic animals like goats, sheep, and rabbits, while there is a new snow castle based on the beloved Moomins.
The property hosts many restaurants and bars, as well as shops selling souvenirs and giftware related to Santa Claus and the Lapland region.
In Apukka Resort guests can spend the night inside ice cabins or Aurora wagons in the middle of the Arctic wilderness where they can see the Northern Lights.
