Joseph August, Justine Bennett, and Andrew Uhlhorn are the creators of “Joshua Tree Acres,” a peaceful five-acre oasis located only a few minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park in California, USA. This growing village of vintage Airstreams is the ideal travel destination for those who love stunning mountain vistas, open skies, Joshua trees and star gazing while on vacation.
“We wanted to create a communal space – a place where like-minded people could come together to meet, share stories, and experience the stark, beautiful, unique nature of the Joshua Tree desert,” shared Justine Bennet on Dwell Magazine elaborating the group’s main statement about their creation on Airbnb website.
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others. Our spaces are a collaboration. We believe in the power of people gathering and thinking together. We strive to create a place where people can feel inspired, connected and at peace in their surroundings.”
“Joshua Tree Acres” currently hosts four Airstreams (1959 Kind of Blue, 1964 Sound of Silence, 1966 Merchant on the Road, 1975 Piece of the Sky) that all have their distinctive style.

Among the highlights of this elegant camping place is a common-for-all rustic space called “The Clubhouse,” which was inspired by the creators’ Moroccan travels and features an outdoor kitchen, a BBQ, a communal table, and a fireplace. Guests are also invited to enjoy hammocks, a hot tub, and a solar salt water pool.
