On May 29, 2021, painter Jessica Libor will unveil a new collection of work in her solo art exhibition, titled “Wildlove.” Libor’s show will take place at the Era Contemporary Gallery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Libor received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2014. She uses a combination of oil paints, mixed media, and precious metals, as well as dry media like pastel and charcoal, to create stunning, cerebral pieces.

The paintings on display in her latest show are no exception. They feature a variety of colors and magical and ethereal aspects. These new projects include stunning depictions of women and are decorated with oversized flowers, gold leaf-infused drawings, and other unique, eye-catching elements.

In a statement about her work, Libor explained that it is about feminine protagonists creating their own “personal mythology and meaning.” She added that other concepts are showcased in her art. This includes animal symbology, the use of fashion and costumes to create a unique identity, and the way that nature mirrors feminine biology.

Not only is Libor showing off her latest projects in this show, but she is also using it as an opportunity to give back to the planet. A portion of all ticket sales, as well as artwork sales, will go to the nonprofit organization One Tree Planted.

One Tree Planted, as the name suggests, plants trees, specifically in the Amazon Rainforest. The Amazon is an essential carbon store that has played a key role in slowing the effects of global warming. However, it has suffered dramatically over the last several years due to deforestation.

The virtual opening reception for Libor’s show starts on May 29, 2021, at 3:30 pm CDT. Those who are interested in attending can register at www.eracontemporary.com or www.jessicalibor.com. To see the exhibit in person, appointments can be made by emailing eracontemporary@gmail.com.
