Milan Fashion Week is one of the hottest events of the year for designers, fashionistas, paparazzi, celebrities, and lovers of couture all around the world. Known for its quirky, avant-garde shows and irreverent creativity, it has quickly become a focal point for the fashion industry’s best and brightest stars to showcase their most cutting-edge work.

The National Chamber of Italian Fashion (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana) took the best of Milan Fashion Week S/S 2020 (17-23 September, 2019) and incorporated it into a short film titled “Hotel MFW.” Directed and produced by Milan’s production house The Blink Fish, the film captures the diversity, inclusion, and individuality of Milan Fashion Week in a dazzling display of color and costume.

The models, each with their own wildly unique look, were chosen and curated by world-famous fashion editor and stylist Georgia Tal. The fashion film places the models in different settings within Milan’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel and showcases brands like Annakiki, The Attico, L’Autre ChoseGCDSPaula Cademartori, Sara Battaglia, Stella Jean, Vivetta, and MSGM. Each scene is rich with texture, color, and style with a result that is bizarre in the chicest of ways.

Their most recent works include “Start the Buzz,” “Be Ready,” and “Waiting Room,” which have received international recognition and awards from numerous film festivals, including the LA Fashion Film Festival, the Aesthetica Short Film Festival, and the Berlin Commercial Festival.

As Milan Fashion Week kicks off for 2019, “Hotel MFW” has set a perfectly quirky stage for one of the world’s most beloved events in the fashion industry.
